Walking past this Museum daily, I was influenced by the "secrets of an Art Museum." at the edge of Walnut Hill Park. - My thoughts as a child.
My parents also contributed as volunteers to re- establish it's popularity in the 50's.
I visited the Museum and was surprised and impressed as to the extent of the collection and the art educational program offered to the residents of New Britain.
In my youth, growing up in New Britain, it was a very prosperous city due to the industry produced there, such as Stanley Tools and Fafnirs. This resulted in finances to promote culture. The Museum being a result of this era.
So, a child is truly influenced by it's environment.............
