Day 2

Day 2

This is our 2nd day of touring the Museums of and around Munich for insytance the Buchheimmuseum and the Museum Brandhorst.

It is fantastic seeing the paintings one knows out of books as originals, especially the German Expressionists and names such as Kandinsky and Jawlensky.

Day 2

Day 1

After a flight of 12 hours I have landed safely in Munich, Germany. It is a wonderful city, full of surprises, great architecture.

My son and I are visiting all the fantastic museums with contemporary art such as Andy Warhol, Twombly, Kandinsky, Jawlensky, Max Beckmann, Robert Rauschenberg and many others.

The time is getting short.

Teaching at the Schwaben akademie

My nerves also. The best way for me to cope with the excitement of flying to Germany to teach at the Schwabenakademie in Bavaria, is to get my thoughts ordered. Although I am working and creating at my Gallery- Bonnie's and Christina's Gallery LLC in Matlacha, my mind wanders off to interesting ideas I can present my students with in Irsee.

This workshop is very important to me. I've worked there for over 20 y ears, but this is the first time I am flying from the States to teach in Europe. This means I have to have my "act up".

my wonderful turquoise little suitcaseI cannot take my wonderful turquoise little suitcase, with all my paints and secrets included and all the necessary papers and books, plus essentials- my brushes, books, canvases, interesting papers, glues etc I usually need for my workshop. This time I must downoad everything onto my laptop. This laptop will keep you in touch daily through my reports, which you can find on my blog. This time I will walk up those stairs I've learned to love with only my laptop and my florida flamingo bag. Never-the-less I am bringing some funky Floridian ideas with me.

Grand opening of Bonnie's & Christina's Art Gallery

Bonnie and I had great fun decorating the Gallery. We broke through a wall, made a studio to teach acrylics, furniture painting and mosaics.

Our selection of artists and jewelry designers are Island, Floridian and internationally - known artists.

We think the Gallery opening was a great success with many well - wishers.

Our artists and friends and families worked with us to accomplish our goal - to open our Gallery on March 13, 2009 in Matlacha, Florida.
