"In 1972 the hospital was wound up. The local authority of the district of Schwaben began the restoration of the buildings in 1974, which opened as the Schwäbische Tagungs- und Bildungszentrum Kloster Irsee ("Kloster Irsee Swabian Conference and Training Centre") in 1984. The Conference Centre is home to the Schwabenakademie [1] and is used for a variety of events including the annual Kunstleben, an annual art festival, organised by the Schwabenakademie in co-operation with the University of Augsburg. It was whilst teaching on this in 2007 that the painter Clive Head and art theorist Michael Paraskos began to formulate the New Aesthetics movement in art.[8]"

I was at the birth of the Art Scene in Irsee. I had the great opportunity from 1974 to become an instructor of ceramics and painting, "The Pathway to Abstraction,"  in Irsee, Schwaebische Bildungs Zentrum, under the direction of Dr. Beckmann/ Dr. Wohlfahrt, Dr. Jehl, "Kurse im Bereich Malen & Collage unter der Leitung von Frau Christina Jarmolinski at the Schwabenakademie Irsee", Dr. Roswitha Terlinden, and Dr. Herzog until I left Germany in 2007.

Those were amazing years of instructing art in the historic walls of the Baroque architecture in this very prestigeous Academy. I had many international students and could experience evenings of music concerts and literature lectures.

I am thankful to have been able to instruct here. It has definitely broadened my abilities in teaching art, experiencing many forms of art and expressing the art I create.
